Christ the King Parish announced three initiatives in preparation for the November 2 commemoration of all the faithful departed.

First, the parish invited parishioners to write down the names of beloved family members, relatives and friends on the envelope provided at the back of the church and at the parish office and drop these at the designated boxes. The CTK priests prayed for and blessed the names of the departed throughout the November 1 to November 9 novena masses.

Second, CTK crypts were opened from 6 am to 10 pm from October 25 to October 30 and from 6 am to 12 midnight on October 31 to November 2. Designated areas for flowers, candles, and incense were identified.

Third, daily masses were offered for all those interred in the CTK crypts aside from the regular First Monday mass at the crypt. 9 am masses were offered on October 31, November 1 and November 2 at the Lower Crypt chapel. Aside from these, a special 3 pm mass for the departed, presided by Fr. Bong Tupino and co-celebrated by Bishop Raul Martirez, Msgr. Antonio Mortillero, and Fr. Serge Maniba, was held on November 2 at the main church.

After the special November 2 mass for the dead, Fr. Bong, Bishop Raul, Msgr. Morti and Fr. Serge went separately to bless the crypt vaults in the Upper Crypt, Lower Crypt, and Garden Crypt.
