MONDAY: PRAYER TO ST JOSEPH
Oh, St Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires.
Oh, St Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord; so that, having engaged here below your Heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of fathers.
Oh, St Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arm. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath.
St Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen.
TUESDAY: ORATIO IMPERATA FOR DELIVERANCE FROM CALAMITIES
Almighty Father, we raise our hearts to You in gratitude for the wonders of creation of which we are part, for Your providence in sustaining us in our needs, and for Your wisdom that guides the course of the universe.
We acknowledge our sins against You and the rest of creation. We have not been good stewards of Nature. We have confused Your command to subdue the earth. The environment is made to suffer our wrongdoing, and now we reap the harvest of our abuse and indifference.
Global warming is upon us. Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruption, earthquake, and other natural calamities occur in increasing number and intensity. We turn to You, our loving Father, and beg forgiveness for our sins. We ask that we, our loved ones and our hard earned possessions be spared from the threat of calamities, natural and man-made. We beseech You to inspire us all to grow into responsible stewards of Your creation, and generous neighbors to those in need. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit one God, forever and ever. Amen.
TUESDAY: PRAYER TO ST LORENZO RUIZ
O Most Merciful and Almighty God, You bestowed as a gift to Lorenzo Ruiz the strength to withstand the overpowering forces of death for the sake of his faith in You. Through his prayers, help us to follow his example by overcoming all life’s trials and eventually, increase our hope and love in You.
O St Lorenzo Ruiz, You brought honor to your country, having been a level-headed and prudent father of the family, a witness of Christ in your life until your death. We present all our petitions to God through your help so that by our actions, we may know more and love more Jesus our Lord and Savior.
We humbly implore your intercession O dear St Lorenzo, for the infinite glory of God and in honor of your triumph as a martyr of Christ and defender of Christianity. Amen.
WEDNESDAY: NOVENA PRAYER TO OUR MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELP
Dear Mother of Perpetual Help, from the cross, Jesus gave you to us for our Mother. You are the kindest, the most loving, of all mothers. Look tenderly on us, your children, as we now ask you to help us in all our needs, especially this one.
While you were on earth, dear Mother, you willingly shared in the sufferings of your Son. Strengthened by your faith and confidence in the fatherly love of God, you accepted the mysterious designs of His will.
We too, have our crosses and trials. Sometimes they almost crush us to the ground. Dearest Mother, share with us your abundant faith and confidence in God. Make us aware that God never ceases to love us; that He answers all our prayers in the way that is best for us. Strengthen our hearts to carry the cross in the footsteps of your Divine Son. Help us to realize that he who shares the cross of Christ will certainly share His resurrection.
Dearest Mother, as we worry about our own problems, let us not forget the needs of others. You always loved others so much; help us to do the same. While praying for our own intentions and for the intentions of all here present at this novena, we earnestly ask you, our Mother, to help us comfort the sick and the dying, give hope to the poor and the unemployed, heal the broken-hearted, lighten the burden of the oppressed, teach justice to their oppressors, and bring back to God all those who have offended Him.
Dearest Mother, help us to avoid sin which separates us from our heavenly Father and from one another. Full of trust in you, we place ourselves under the mantle of your maternal protection and confidently hope for your powerful help. Amen.
THURSDAY: ORATIO IMPERATA FOR DELIVERANCE FROM CALAMITIES

THURSDAY: PRAYER TO SAN PEDRO CALUNGSOD
San Pedro Calungsod, student, catechist, young migrant, missionary, faithful friend, martyr, you inspire us by your fidelity in time of adversity; by your courage in teaching the Faith in the midst of hostility; and by your love in shedding your blood for the sake of the Gospel.
Make our troubles your own, and intercede for us before the throne of Mercy and Grace so that, as we experience the help of Heaven, we may be encouraged to live and proclaim the Gospel here on earth. Amen.
FRIDAY: NOVENA PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS
Divine Jesus, You have said, “Ask, and you shall receive; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto You,” behold me kneeling at Your feet, filled with a lively faith and confidence in the promises dictated by Your Sacred Heart and pronounced by Your adorable lips. I come to ask this favor:
To whom can I turn if not to You whose Heart is the source of all graces and merits? Where should I seek if not in the treasure which contains all the riches of Your kindness and mercy? Where must I knock if not at the door through which God gives himself to us and through which we go to God? I have recourse to You, Heart of Jesus. In You I find consolation when afflicted, protection when persecuted, strength when burdened with trials, and light in doubt and darkness.
Dear Jesus, I firmly believe that You can grant me the grace I implore, even though it should require a miracle. You have only to will it and my prayer will be granted. I admit that I am most unworthy of Your favors, but this is not a reason for me to be discouraged. You are the God of mercy and You will not refuse a contrite heart.
Cast upon me a look of mercy, I beg of You, and Your kind Heart will find in my miseries and weakness a reason for granting my prayer. O Sacred Heart of Jesus, whatever maybe Your decision with regard to my request, I will never stop adoring, loving, praising, and serving You. My Jesus, be pleased to accept this, my act of perfect resignation to the decrees of Your adorable Heart which I sincerely desire may be fulfilled in and by me and all Your creatures forever.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are suffering or in distress. Look upon me, I beg of You, dear Jesus, and grant me the grace for which I humbly implore You, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother. You have entrusted me to her as her child, and her prayers are all-powerful with You. Amen.
SATURDAY: PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS
Lord Jesus, Good Shepherd. You chose your apostles and sent them to preach the Good News of salvation to the ends of the earth.
Give to your Church more servant-leaders who will faithfully serve as priests and consecrated men and women that your flock may be built in faith, hope and love. Make the seed of vocation grow in the hearts of our young people as they discern your plan for them. Give them courage to embrace your will. Give them the grace of perseverance and wisdom in the face of hardships and sacrifices. Reveal to their parents the beauty of offering as gift, their sons and daughters for the service of the Church. Grant bountiful blessings to their family for their generosity. Make the Christian community our partners; and bestow on them a deep love and dedication for vocation animation and support.
All these we ask in your name. Amen. Mary, Model and Mother of Vocations, Pray for us.
FIRST SATURDAY: PRAYER OF CONSECRATION TO MARY IMMACULATE
O Immaculate, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you. I, a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet, humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your possession and property. Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you. If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you: “She will crush your head,” and “You alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole world.”
Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing your glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever you enter, you obtain the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
V. Allow me to praise you, O sacred Virgin.
R. Give me strength against your enemies.
FIRST SUNDAY: STEWARDSHIP PRAYER
Lord, every time I open my hands, I look heavenward to receive Your blessings. I believe everything is a gift from Your overflowing love. Undeserving as I may be, You have built my identity. You have fashioned me as Your child And given me dignity of sharing in Your life.
Help me to open my hands to let go and trust For You run my affairs more than I do. You admonish me to cast away my doubts and anxieties And to live in harmony and peace.
Like a good steward, help me to be thankful in gratitude, To count more my blessings and less of my adversities. Let me open my hands so that I can love and share my gifts. Help me understand that in a Christian love, I have the need to give, more than giving to a need.
As I realize that I live on borrowed time and life, I wish to return the best portion of these blessings received For the good of my Church to glorify Your name.
May I be blessed as a good steward, Now that I offer and return my gifts to You. Amen.
SECOND SUNDAY: POPE FRANCIS’ PRAYER FOR THE JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY
Lord Jesus Christ, you have taught us to be merciful like the heavenly Father, and have told us that whoever sees you sees Him. Show us your face and we will be saved.
Your loving gaze freed Zacchaeus and Matthew from being enslaved by money; the adulteress and Magdalene from seeking happiness only in created things; made Peter weep after his betrayal, and assured Paradise to the repentant thief.
Let us hear, as if addressed to each one of us, the words that you spoke to the Samaritan woman: “If you knew the gift of God!” You are the visible face of the invisible Father, of the God who manifests his power above all by forgiveness and mercy: let the Church be your visible face in the world, its Lord risen and glorified.
You willed that your ministers would also be clothed in weakness in order that they may feel compassion for those in ignorance and error: let everyone who approaches them feel sought after, loved, and forgiven by God.
Send your Spirit and consecrate every one of us with its anointing, so that the Jubilee of Mercy may be a year of grace from the Lord, and your Church, with renewed enthusiasm, may bring good news to the poor, proclaim liberty to captives and the oppressed, and restore sight to the blind.
We ask this through the intercession of Mary, Mother of Mercy, you who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever. Amen.
THIRD SUNDAY: PRAYER OF FAMILIES TO THE HOLY FAMILY
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, in you we contemplate the splendour of true love, to you we turn with trust.
Holy Family of Nazareth, grant that our families too may be places of communion and prayer, authentic schools of the Gospel and small domestic Churches.
Holy Family of Nazareth, may families never again experience violence, rejection and division. May all who have been hurt or scandalized find ready comfort and healing.
Holy Family of Nazareth, make us once more mindful of the sacredness and inviolability of the family, and its beauty in God’s plan.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, graciously hear our prayer. Amen.
