The primary mission of the Formation Ministry is to provide spiritual formation to deepen the faith and commitment, and pastoral formation to upgrade skills in pastoral management; to deepen knowledge of the Word of God as the means to sustain and nourish BECs; to promote more effective catechesis on renewal in the Church according to the teachings of Vatican II, PCP II, and PCM II.

To this end, the two most important activities of the Formation Ministry are the Bible Study program and the Catechism of the Catholic Church series. The Bible Study Program, entitled ‘School of the Word’ and conducted for CTK by Verbum Dei and Fr. James McTavish is held every Wednesday morning from 9 am to 11 am at St. Luke Room. We refer you to the main menu tab INVITING YOU > ‘Wednesdays School of the Word’ for further details. The Catechism program, entitled ‘Rediscovering Our Catholic Faith’, is organized by Couples for Christ and held every second Thursday of the month, from 7 pm.  We refer you to the main menu tab INVITING YOU > ‘THIRD THURSDAYS REDISCOVERING OUR CATHOLIC FAITH’ for further details.

In addition to these two critical programs, the Formation Ministry also regularly sponsors faith-related talks. The last  series of Formation talks sponsored by the Formation Ministry was the 19th Annotation Retreat series. The Formation Ministry is headed by Trix Deleña. Formation talks are also occasionally organized by EMHC, Lectors & Commentators, and Stewardship Committee.
