The Knights of Columbus is a worldwide fraternal association of catholic lay gentlemen, founded in 1882, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church. Its name is taken from Christopher Columbus who sailed out to discover new worlds both for his country and for God, with the idea of conquering worlds for God serving as the rationale for the name. The Order sees itself ready to defend marriage and the family, human dignity, religious freedom, and civil society. Aside from being the traditional honor guard for various CTK activities, the KoC has been involved with CTK Christmas tree lighting cum fund raising, medical missions, computer training, choir sponsorship, parish picnics, For 2016, the KoC has focused its time and resources on providing scholarships and financial assistance to 55 high school students, 20 college students, and 5 TESDA voc-tech students.
