The Knights of Columbus is a worldwide fraternal association of catholic lay gentlemen, founded in 1882, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church. Its name is taken from Christopher Columbus who sailed out to discover new worlds both for his country and for God, with the idea of conquering worlds for God serving as the rationale for the name. The Order sees itself ready to defend marriage and the family, human dignity, religious freedom, and civil society.

For the last several years, the KoC has focused its time and resources on providing scholarships and financial assistance to 50-70 high school students and 15-25 college students. In 2016, KOC’s scholars included 5 TESDA voc-tech students. The KOC is currently headed by Cen Hernando.
