Leadership Transition in Stewardship Committee: Meet Benjie and Wins Mirasol
Couple Benjie and Wins Mirasol formally took over the reins of the CTK Stewardship Committee as they presided over the February 4 monthly Stewardship Committee meeting, held at the convent conference room.
At the meeting, Benjie and Wins reviewed with the group the major 2017 plans and programs of Stewardship discussed in the PPC planning meeting last year and the status of implementation of these programs. Upon review of results of past programs, priorities were set for continuation of those programs which have yielded positive results and possibly introduce further enhancements to them for increased effectiveness.
These include the quarterly Spirituality of Stewardship talks for parishioners, the Stewardship promoters meetings, Sunday mass promotion of Stewardship through First Fruits Sunday, and stewardship petition in the Prayers of the Faithful. In addition to these programs, new initiatives were discussed and will be reviewed in the next monthly meetings. The aim is to increase awareness of the evangelization components of the stewardship program even beyond CTK’s regular mass patrons and offerors.
Benjie has long been associated, since Msgr. Mora’s time, as the head of CTK’s Music Ministry, scheduling the various choirs, musicians and singers for the ten weekend masses and the 17 daily masses (three masses Monday to Saturday) on top of novenas and other special celebrations. He is also currently project director for Pabahay ng Diocese, a housing and community development project for the Cubao diocese parish workers. The couple has also been part of the Stewardship Committee since its founding in 2005. They have also helped the Family and Life Ministry in the conduct of the pre-cana Marriage Vocation Programs (MVP) and the Kasalan ng Bayan. Benjie and Wins have been active members of Couples for Christ (CFC) since 1998 serving the CTK Chapter in various capacities. Benjie currently serves as one of the founding directors for CFC’s “Build My Church” program which assists various parishes construct and rehabilitate chapels throughout the country.
Benjie continues to teach at the Ateneo School of Management while Wins had just recently retired after 35 years in IBM Philippines and now does volunteer work as a director for the Pasig-Pateros chapter of the Philippine Red Cross.
