This Time It ’s Housekeeping
Last April 4, hot on the heels of the Home Care Provider livelihood training that ended just the week before, the Ladies of Charity – CTK Chapter, started another livelihood project, this time in barangays Masagana and Matandang Balara in Project 4. With the blessing of Fr. Bong Tupino, LOC launched its Housekeeping livelihood course that would last from April 4 till June 29. As with the previous livelihood course, this Housekeeping course is scheduled Tuesdays to Fridays, 8 am to 12 nn. Ladies of Charity project chairman is Teri Floro, assisted by Beth Monedero. Advisers are Tonette Arizabal and Deng Cordero Tan. They coordinated with barangay captain Juliet L. Ginete. And as usual, LOC asked TESDA for trainer assistance, in the person of Geraldine Garrac.
20 girls and 4 boys have signed up for the course. If the past is an indicator, most of the 24 will Uind jobs, some of them leaving for abroad, since TESDA certification is valid for work abroad requirements.
Aside from senior home care and housekeeping, past courses had included – food & beverage, bread & pastry making, electrical installation, massage, soap making, cosmetology, and bar tending.
