With the blessing of Fr. Bong Tupino, LOC launched its Housekeeping livelihood course last April 4 which would last till June 29. Applicants came mostly from Barangay Masagana with smaller numbers from Barangays San Roque and Tagumpay.

Fr. Bong graced the occasion and gave the invocation and inspirational talk. This was followed by the opening remarks of Fe Pery, LOC-CTK president . Then the graduates were presented and given their certificates of course completion, duly signed by TESDA. Three outstanding trainees were given merit awards. These included: Jherly Tadeo as Most Outstanding Trainee; Marbella Lozano for Best in Make Up Room; and Johanna Adiarte for Best in Butler Servicing.

Breaking up the seriousness of the event, the graduates presented a special number after which Diana Gozum, LOC VP gave the closing remarks. Emcee of the recognition program was Teri Floro, chair of the LOC Livelihood Committee. She was assisted by Beth Monedero, with advisers Tonette Arizabal and Deng Cordero Tan.

As with the previous livelihood course, this Housekeeping course was scheduled Tuesdays to Fridays, 8 am to 12 nn. And as usual, LOC asked TESDA for trainer assistance. If the past is an indicator, most of the 24 graduates will Rind jobs, some of them leaving for abroad, since TESDA certification is valid for work abroad requirements.
