Record 66 Couples Attend 4th Quarter Marriage Vocation Program
The CTK Family & Life Ministry, headed by Regie and Joanne Polancos, held the 4th quarter Marriage Vocation Program, or MVP, on the weekend of November 4 and 5. It was attended by a record 66 couples, all slated to get married at CTK main church anywhere from December 2017 to March 2018.
At 16 hours long over two weekend days, Christ the King has one of the longest marriage preparation seminars in the Metro area. The precana material had recently been condensed into a book, ‘Marriage Vocation Program for the Engaged: Preparing Couples for Marriage’. It is based on the package developed by the original heads of Family & Life Ministry, Doy and Estrelle Lopez, who had
been running the program since the late 1990’s.
For this quarterly offering, the lead couple were Aji and Angie Rualo, supported by facilitators Charito Barredo, Louie and Jops Padrinao, Edwin and Michelle Bernardo, Joel and Annavi Tamor, Jinggo and Ludgie Aldecoa, Jing and Girlie Alampay, Joel and Sandra Pamo, and Paul Uy.
Fr. Bong Tupino, CTK parish priest, addressed the group at 8:30 am on Saturday, November 4. The Holy Mass for the engaged couples, conducted the next day, November 5, was presided by Fr. Serge Maniba.
