From breathing filtered air, to meals that are nourishing and delicious to boosting self-esteem through enhancement of looks – these are just some of the ways that Christ the King Parish Greenmeadows’ (CTK) OPLAN COVID is helping the front-liners in the war versus the coronavirus.

CTK Parish priest Fr. Steven Zabala and members of CTK Parish Pastoral Council, Christian Family Movement (CFM) and Couples for Christ (CFC), turned over air filters to the East Avenue Medical Center on Friday, July 11, 2020. EAMC Senior Administrative Officer Ms. Elmyra Malicse was on hand to formally receive the air filters.

The five units of Blue Air commercial air purifiers with High-Efficiency Particulate Arrestance (HEPA) were donated through the kindness of sponsors Christian Family Movement, Couples for Christ and Bing & Elise del Rosario. These purifiers capture all sizes of solid particles, including those as tiny as the coronavirus to stem the spread of the infection among hospital workers and patients. EAMC had calculated that the hospital needed 10 of the large commercial units for their Emergency Room. CTK’s donation filled 50% of the hospital requirement for their ER.

Joining Fr. Steven Zabala at the turnover were CFM’s Joey and Tisha Cruz, CFC’s Ed Salonga, CTK PPO’s Bing & Elise del Rosario, CTK SoCom’s Tessa Mangahas, Norman Reynoso and Mar Reyes from CYA Industries, authorized distributor for Blue Air in the Philippines.
Oplan Covid is the fundraising campaign of Christ the King Parish Greenmeadows to respond to the urgent needs of some primary hospitals, neighboring poor communities and needy parishes of the Cubao Diocese during the pandemic.
