Bishop Raul Q. Martirez, former Bishop-Emeritus of San Jose de Antique and now retired guest bishop at Christ the King Parish Greenmeadows, celebrated his 80th birthday last February 9, a Friday. In a joyous Eucharistic mass at 7 am at the Divine Mercy Chapel, Bishop Raul celebrated his thanksgiving mass, assisted by Fr. Bong Tupino, Msgr. Tony Mortillero, and Fr. Ricky Montañez. Fr. Herbie Santos Celebrates Second Ordination Anniversary

Fr. Herbert ‘Herbie’ Santos, former parochial vicar of Sta. Rita de Cascia Parish, celebrated his second presbyteral ordination anniversary at his new assignment in Sta. Maria della Strada Parish, in Katipunan corner Pansol Street, Loyola Heights, last February 22. Fr. Family and Life Ministry Sponsors Women’s Wellness and Medical Clinic, March 11

Last Sunday, March 11, in cooperation with Kalusugan ng Kababaihang Pangkabayanan, or KnKP Inc., CTK’s Family and Life Ministry, led by Regie and Joanne Polancos, offered free women's health awareness and medical services at the CTK Parish Hall, from 8 am to 3 pm. The services continued to be announced in all the morning masses as well as the noon mass. The free services included: pre-natal ultrasound and check up (for pregnant patients), breast examination, cervical cancer screening (cryotherapy), pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound, as well as gynecologic consultation. Sunrise Ministry Pilgrimage to Seven Batangas Churches, February 24

The CTK Ministry for the Elderly a.k.a. Sunrise Ministry, headed by Drs. Doy and Estrelle Lopez, held its Lenten Pilgrimage for Seniors last February 24, with a total of 60 seniors and ’super seniors’ in attendance. Of the 60, 22 were from the Libis and Bagumbayan communities wile the rest were from the villages. The pilgrimage objective was to visit seven churches within the day. CTK Youth Ministry Leads 83 Youth Attendees on Lenten Pilgrimage to Regina RICA

In preparation for the Lenten Season, The CTK Youth Ministry, led by Louie and Lei Abando, held a pilgrimage for 83 CTK youth to Regina RICA, in Tanay, Rizal last March 4, Sunday. Assembly was at 7 am. Food and transportation was provided. The 13.5 hectares of Regina RICA (the letters R-I-C-A standing for ‘Rosarii Institute for Contemplation in Asia’) is located along Marcos Highway at Sitio Aguho, Sampaloc Tanay, Rizal. PPC Treasurers’ Report on the Sources and Uses of Funds for 2017

The Parish Pastoral Council spent a total of PhP 6,711,486.18 on its various programs for 2017. Almost 60% of this amount was allocated to Social and Development Service programs which include scholarships, feeding programs, outreach to the elderly and prisoners, medical missions, livelihood programs, and kasambahay recollection activities. The PPC organizations responsible for execution are the: Catholic Women's League, Ladies of Charity, Apostleship of Prayer, Buklod ng Panginoon and Knights of Columbus. Ten new altar servers attended the Basic Formation for new altar servers that started last Saturday January 20. CTK Altar Servers Undergo Renewal Formation, February 17

The Facilitators of the Ministry of Altar Servers of the Diocese of Cubao went to the different parishes to conduct the Renewal Formation for Active altar servers. Assigned to Christ the King Parish was Brother Angelo Lance Torres who met with the CTK active servers last February 17, Saturday. Brother Lance is on his 3rd year college course on Religious Education at UST. He is presently serving at Sta. Maria Dela Strada Parish in La Vista.
