CTK Hosts Quarterly General Meeting of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Vicariate

CTK hosted the OLPH vicariate general meeting last July 10. As with the last vicariate meeting, also held at CTK, PPC representatives from the various parishes in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Vicariate to which CTK belongs gathered for the quarterly assembly at the Parish Social Hall at the second Gloor of the Parish Formation Center. First Friday Mass with the Lingap Center Lolas courtesy of the CTK Ladies of Charity

The Ladies of Charity-CTK Chapter, through its Lingap Center, regularly takes care of some 15 to 20 lolas, or super-senior Libis community members, mostly indigent. These ‘lolas’ are brought from Libis to CTK every Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday mornings for physical, spiritual and emotional support. After the morning mass with the lolas, the Ladies of Charity would conduct Bible studies, followed by fellowship afterwards. For their physical well-being, the Ladies of Charity engage a doctor to do check-ups, take blood tests, and dispense free medicines. CTK Recognizes 24 Graduates of TESDA Housekeeping Course

July 3 saw the recognition rites for 24 graduates of the CTK Housekeeping Training Course, organized by the Ladies of Charity, Christ the King parish unit, in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, or, TESDA. With the blessing of Fr. Bong Tupino, LOC launched its Housekeeping livelihood course last April 4 which would last till June 29. Applicants came mostly from Barangay Masagana with smaller numbers from Barangays San Roque and Tagumpay. Fr. Bong graced the occasion and gave the invocation and inspirational talk. Improvements to Libis Elem Feeding Center Inaugurated

The CTK Ladies of Charity, organizers of the feeding program at Libis Elementary School, recently inaugurated the renovated feeding area and covered walkway to the feeding center. The project was undertaken to prevent children from getting wet during rainy days on their way to the feeding venue. Last June 30, Fr. Bong Tupino officiated the blessing in the presence of QC Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, Councilor Gian Sotto who sponsored the renovation, Chelma Cabatic, LES principal, and the Ladies of Charity ladies. La Maison Townhomes Joins CTK’s BEC Communities

La Maison Townhomes has just joined the Christ the King PPC group of villages and townhomes. La Maison sits at the Serrano, facing St. Ignatius Village on the other side of Katipunan Avenue. It formally belongs to the Barangay St. Ignatius. Formally launching the inclusion of La Maison was the street mass at 4 pm last July 22, the first mass ever inside and for the La Maison residents. BEC Workshop for CTK’s Village Coordinators

The ‘CTK Village Coordinators seminar-workshop on Basic Ecclesial Communities’ took place at Antipolo’s St. Michael’s Retreat House last August 12, Saturday. It started with the 6 am mass at CTK, then departure via carpool to Sumulong Memorial Circle, Antipolo at 6:45 am. Upon arrival at 7:30 at the retreat house, breakfast was served, followed by the Nirst session at 8:30 am. The second session came at 10:30 am after the morning break. CTK Youth Leaders’ Outing-Pilgrimage to Holy Land Subic

The CTK Youth Ministry held its Youth leaders outing-pilgrimage to Holy Land Subic last May 27. Led by Youth Ministry heads Louie and Lei Abando, Youth coordinator Althea Geronilla, Youth core members Teenie de Leon and Mikey Malixi , and accompanied by no less than Fr. Bong Tupino, the 25 youth accompanied by a handful of other adult supervisors and counselors left CTK at 6:45AM, arriving at Subic at 10:00AM.
