Covered Walkway to Libis Elem Feeding Center Inaugurated

The CTK Ladies of Charity, organizers of the feeding program at Libis Elementary School, recently inaugurated the renovated feeding area and covered walkway to the feeding center. The project was undertaken to prevent children from getting wet during rainy days on their way to the feeding venue. Last June 30, Fr. Bong Tupino officiated the blessing in the presence of QC Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, Councilor Gian Sotto who sponsored the renovation, Chelma Cabatic, LES principal, and the Ladies of Charity ladies. Freshmen SJS Seminarians Meet CTK ‘Josefinos’

First-year seminarians from the San Jose Seminary in the Ateneo de Manila University Loyola campus visited the CTK parish – Greenmeadows Avenue last Tuesday, June 27. They were welcomed by ‘Josefinos Fr. Jose ‘Bong’ Tupino III (1993) and CTK parish priest; Monsignor Antonio Mortillero (1963); CTK guest priest Fr. Sergio ‘Serge’ Maniba (1995); and Bert Santos, PPC head coordinator (HS 1963).    Each year, the freshmen group of the seminary, as part of their orientation, is required to visit parishes whose parish priests are ‘Josefinos. CTK Welcomes Its High School and College Scholars for Schoolyear 2017-2018

At the same time that the Parish Pastoral Council was hosting Bishop Honesto Ongtioco during his Episcopal Pastoral Visitation last June 10, Fr. Bong Tupino, together with OLHP Vicar Forane Fr. Arnel Recinto, welcomed the CTK scholars for schoolyear 2017-2018 in St. Matthew Room. These consisted of 130 high school and 10 college students that had been vetted by the Ladies of Charity, the mandated organization that is the primary delivery vehicle for CTK scholarships. Marriage Vocation Program 2Q17

Last May 13 and 14 weekend, the Family and Life Ministry of Christ the King Parish, Greenmeadows held its 111th Marriage Vocation Program for 34 soon-to-be-married-in-CTK couples. Facilitated by none other than former Family and Life Ministry heads Doy and Estrelle Lopez, the actual originators of the Marriage Vocation program, assisted by other veteran couple-sharers, the two-day quarterly seminar was held at the St. Luke Room at the CTK Formation Center. Mothers’ Day Blessings to All Parish Moms

Last May 14, Mother’s Day, Christ the King parish church presiders consistently gave recognition to all the mothers in the crowd by asking them near the end of the mass to go to the front for special blessings. This Time It ’s Housekeeping

Last April 4, hot on the heels of the Home Care Provider livelihood training that ended just the week before, the Ladies of Charity - CTK Chapter, started another livelihood project, this time in barangays Masagana and Matandang Balara in Project 4. With the blessing of Fr. Bong Tupino, LOC launched its Housekeeping livelihood course that would last from April 4 till June 29. Flores de Mayo Cathechism Classes for Libis Kids 8-12 Years Old for the Whole Month of May

The Catechetical Ministry co-headed by Alma Yeh and Sheryl Coronel mounted the annual Flores de Mayo catechism classes for Libis youth, held during the children’s summer break. The classes had been running daily, during the weekdays, for the entire month of May, from 1 to 4 pm starting May 2. The first hour, 1 to 2 pm, had been devoted to formal catechetical lessons. CTK Marks Fatima Centennial with Pilgrimage to Fatima Shrine & Candlelight Procession

This May 13 marks the 100th year anniversary, or centennial, of the 8irst of several Apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, in Fatima, Portugal. In May 1917, in the midst of World War I, Pope Benedict XV, after repeated but forlorn appeals for world peace, made a direct appeal to Mary to intercede for peace in the world. The response was Mary’s first appearance at Fatima just a week later, on May 13, to the three shepherd children - Lucia dos Santos, Francisco Marto, and Jacinto Marto. Easter Pilgrimage to Eastern Europe with Fr. Bong Tupino

Fr. Bong Tupino was the co-pilgrimage chaplain, along with Fr. Jeffrey Quinetela, for the April 16 to 29, 2017 edition of ‘Enthralling Eastern Europe’, a ‘Journeys of Faith’ pilgrimage tour that took pilgrims through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.
