Daily Intentions for October, the Month of the Holy Rosary
As we pray the Rosary this October, the month of the Holy Rosary, we are reminded to include the Daily Intention at the start of the Rosary. Below, we include the official Daily Intentions for each of the October dates. In addition, in response to the Rosary Campaign of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) – A Million Roses for the World: Filipinos at Prayer for the Nation – we include in our Daily Rosary Intention a prayer for a different province in the country each day.
OCT. 1 Let us pray for our Church, the Universal Holy Catholic Church; Our beloved Pope Francis, the bishops, and the clergy. That they will be given the wisdom and the courage to bring people back to Christ and to His Church. We also pray for our nation, especially Batanes in Region 2.
OCT 2 Let us pray for our Christian brothers and sisters from all over the world especially those in the Middle East who are suffering persecution from the hands of the enemies. May they continue to keep their faith that God in His mercy and compassion will give them comfort and consolation.
OCT. 3 Let us pray for the victory of the Cross over terrorism; for the defeat and eradication of ISIS and all the evil that ISIS stands for. We also pray for our nation, especially Cagayan in Region 2.
OCT. 4 Let us pray for countries and governments especially North Korea and Iran whose agenda is to create and produce weapons of mass destruction. We pray that God will send St. Michael and His angels to do battle with the demons that have taken captive of the mind, soul, and heart of these men. We also pray for our nation, especially Isabela in Region 2.
OCT. 5 Let us pray for all countries in the world and its people who have abandoned their faith in God and instead have turned to false gods. May God send the Holy Spirit to descend upon them to bring back repentance, renewal, and conversion. We also pray for our nation, especially Nueva Viscaya in Region 2.
OCT. 6 Let us pray for the conversion of Russia and China. May the errors and falsehood of communism be exposed and eradicated from the face of the earth permanently through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We also pray for our nation, especially Quirino in Region 2.
OCT. 7 Let us pray for the permanent destruction and eradication of syndicates involved in human trafficking, child pornography, drugs, cybersex and others. Lord, bless and protect the men and women who are fighting these syndicates with their very lives. We also pray for our nation, especially Bataan in Region 3.
OCT. 8 Let us pray for the permanent eradication of abortion, euthanasia, assisted suicide. Lord, save us from these abomination. Mama Mary, pray for the repentance and conversion of the men and women in these crimes against human life. We pray for permanent closure of Planned Parenthood Corp. in the United States. We also pray for our nation, especially Bulacan in Region 3.
OCT. 9 Let us pray for missionaries who offer and risk their lives in preaching and spreading the gospel. May the Holy Spirit be with them; infuse them with knowledge and wisdom; and bless them with strength and perseverance. May Our Lady cover them with her mantel of protection.
OCT. 10 Let us pray for more vocations to the priesthood and the religious. May Jesus send more workers in His vineyard. We pray for the grace of perseverance; may our priests and nuns find the joy of the Lord in the wonderful work they are doing for His people. We also pray for our nation, especially Nueva Ecija in Region 3.
OCT. 11 Let us pray for the alleviation of poverty, hunger, and sickness in all countries of the world. May God send them government leaders who have the heart of the Good Shepherd. We also pray for our nation, especially Pampanga in Region 3.
OCT. 12 We pray for our beloved country, the Philippines. May the good Lord look upon our country and our people with much mercy and compassion. May our people soon wake up to a new dawn of peace and prosperity. We also pray for our nation, especially Tarlac in Region 3.
OCT. 13 We pray for our President, Rodrigo Duterte, and for members of his government. We believe in their sincerity to alleviate poverty, to bring peace and order, and prosperity to our nation. Give them the wisdom and moral conscience to obey and follow the rule of law. Protect them as they carry out their mission; lead and direct them in the very ways of the Holy Spirit. We also pray for our nation, especially Zambales in Region 3.
OCT. 14 We pray for the permanent eradication of terrorism, drugs, and crime in our country. We pray for the successful and peaceful resolution of the talk between the Philippines and the CCP. We pray for the defeat and surrender of the Abu Sayaff and other Filipino terrorist groups. We also pray for our nation, especially Aurora in Region 3.
OCT. 15 Let us pray that the Holy Spirit and Mama Mary enlighten and touch the hearts and minds of the leaders of China; that they will respect and abide by international laws and return to the Philippines its sovereign rights over our God given territories. We also pray for our nation, especially Quezon in Region 3.
OCT. 16 Let us pray for our migrant workers. May they have kind and generous employers. Protect them from abuse and injustice. We pray for the OFW’s who have lost their jobs. May the Lord provide for them and their families. May they faithfully trust in the goodness of God.
OCT. 17 Let us pray for Filipino families both here and abroad. We consecrate them to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Lord, give husbands and wives the grace to be better parents to raise their children knowing and loving God. Protect families from all harm and evil so pervasive in the world today. We also pray for our nation, especially Rizal in Region 4.
OCT. 18 We pray that our beloved country be spared from the devastation of natural and man-made calamities. We pray for those who were victims of these calamities in the past. May they continue to trust in the goodness and generosity of God. We also pray for our nation, especially Batangas in Region 4.
OCT. 19 We pray for the permanent eradication of harmful virus like dengue, Zika, HIV, and the like that may fatally infect our people. We pray that scientists may find a permanent cure for the fatal illnesses that these virus cause. We also pray for our nation, especially Cavite in Region 4.
OCT. 20 We pray for our Catholic Church in the Philippines; for Cardinal Tagle, for our bishops and priests. May they faithfully follow and obey our Pope. May they be a source of inspiration, hope, and conversion for the people of God in our country. We also pray for our nation, especially Laguna in Region 4.
OCT. 21 We pray for our Parish, Christ the King and all the communities comprising our Parish. We pray for our beloved parish priest, Fr. Bong Tupino. We pray for Bishop Raul Martirez, Msgr. Tony Mortillero, Fr. Serge Maniba and all our other guest priests. Bless them with wisdom and grace; protect them from all harm. Give them strength and good health. We also pray for our nation, especially Marinduque in Region 17.
OCT. 22 We pray for the committed men and women serving our parish. May they serve with perseverance and the purest of intention and all for the glory of God. May they find the joy of the Lord in their work for the church. We also pray for our nation, especially Occidental Mindoro in Region 17.
OCT. 23 We pray for the orphans, street children, abandoned children, and the abused. May the Lord protect them with His angels and send more men and women who will love and care for them.
OCT. 24 We pray for the preservation, conservation, and protection of our environment and the ecology. Bless and protect the men and women who are committed to this worthy cause. We also pray for our nation, especially Oriental Mindoro in Region 17.
OCT. 25 We pray for our youth, the hope of the future. May they be preserved from the evil influences of the Godless society they are now living in. We also pray for our nation, especially Palawan in Region 17.
OCT. 26 We pray for our teachers, doctors, nurses, catechists, and social workers. May they find joy and fulfillment in the practice of their most noble profession. May the Lord bless them with His constant presence and protection. We also pray for our nation, especially Romblon in Region 17.
OCT. 27 We pray for our congressman and senators who are deliberating on divorce, same sex marriage, abortion. We beg the Holy Spirit to enlighten and give them the wisdom to see the lies and falsehood behind these bills; give them Lord the courage to reject the passage of these bills. We also pray for our nation, especially Camarines Norte in Region 5.
OCT. 28 We pray for our farmers and fishermen who work so hard that we may have abundant food on our table and yet they remain poor, hungry, and impoverished. We lift them up to you Jesus, our ever generous provider. Bless them with bountiful harvest and bountiful catch. Protect them from the exploitation by the middlemen. We also pray for our nation, especially Camarines Sur in Region 5.
OCT. 29 We pray for the suffering souls in purgatory especially those of our loved ones. May the Lord raise them up to the eternal joy and peace of His heavenly kingdom. We also pray for our nation, especially Catanduanes in Region 5
OCT. 30 We pray for our separated Christian brothers and sisters who have left the Catholic Church and who now fail to see and recognize the great role of Mary in the history of our salvation. May the Holy Spirit enlighten them and open their eyes that they will one day honor, revere and venerate The Most Blessed Virgin Mary. We also pray for our parish, as we celebrate today the Feast of the Dedication of our Church, Christ the King Parish, Greenmeadows.
OCT. 31 We pray for the promised and prophesied triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the imminent coming of the glorious reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the entire world. We also pray for our nation, especially Masbate in Region 5.
