Regular Collections
Christ the King Parish celebrates the Church’s liturgy with beauty and dignity. It reaches out with love to the poor and the needy. We offer faith formation programs to children and adults. We maintain our magnificent church and other building structures in the parish complex. We compensate our parish staff with just living wage.
All of the above we are able to do because of our parishioners’ generous financial gifts during our masses. We are always very appreciative of whatever financial assistance our parishioners, rich and poor, can provide.
Special Collections
Christ the King parish is often tapped by other dioceses and parishes for financial assistance. The best example was the continuing help that CTK provided to the Leyte and Samar dioceses through regular ‘second collections’ for three months running in 2013-2014 that raised P600,000 which was then donated to the dioceses for them to assist the fisherfolk through donations of fishing boats and fishing nets. Other provincial parishes have also been given time during the Announcements segment of the masses to directly appeal for ‘second collection’ funds to complete their renovations or building of new parish churches or monasteries. Second collections are always dedicated to a specific cause or project.
