The kasambahays, drivers and community helpers had their own Advent day of recollection last December 4 and 5. Participants had a choice of either date , depending on their schedules.

F r . Bong Guerrero served as recollection leader, replacing Fr. William Garcia, who had to attend to an
emergency.

The event is an annual project of the Catholic Women’s League. For this 2017 Advent recollection, a total of 48 participants attended, 30 on Monday December 4 and 18 on Tuesday, December 5.

The CWL ladies prepared the room, the projection system, the white board, and sound system. They also facilitated registration, assisted the assigned catechists, prepared the morning, lunch and afternoon snacks, and processed the release of stipends for Fr. Guerrero and the catechists.

The CWL organizing team included: Kim Cua, Nadine Navarro, Charito Barredo, Rosario Joson, Flor Cabello, Carmina Hidalgo, Ruby Joaquin, and Eden Almirez.

Other CWL ladies attending included: Ching Botero, Ellen Asuncion, Terry Lucero, Benita Lozada, Carol Teves, Remedios Cabanban, Nanette Cayme, Dolores de la Cruz, Corazon de la Cruz, and Paulina de Jesus.

The full-day program included several talks and lectures by Fr. Bong Guerrero, community prayers and singing, and individual sharing by each participant on what they would like to hear at their eulogy and how far they were from achieving that vision. They also viewed several uplifting videos. The last part of the program was confession, where everyone went through the Rite of Reconciliation.
