Summer Youth PREX at CTK

The CTK Youth Ministry held its Youth Parish Renewal Experience, from the evening of May 19 until the evening of May 21. As in previous years, venue was the entire ground floor of the Formation Center. This was open to all single youth ages 17-30. Way of the Cross in the CTK Villages

As part of its Lenten activities, Christ the King Parish held the Way of the Cross every Tuesdays and Thursdays at the different villages that make up the parish. Ladies of Charity Distribute Rice at Krus na Ligas

Last April 25, 2017, the Ladies of Charity went ahead with their quarterly rice distribution, this time at Holy Cross Parish in the historic Krus na Ligas district of Diliman. This follows the last quarter’s January rice distribution at San Isidro Labrador Parish. It’s also the second time the Ladies of Charity distributed rice in Krus na Ligas - the first time was approximately the same time last year, although Fr. Easter Egg Hunt for CTK’s Tiny Tots

The parish’s Youth Ministry and the CTK Days with the Lord held two easter egg hunts last Easter Sunday, April 16, one after the 7:30 am mass and the other after the 9 am mass. Both were held at the garden area in front of the main church. The fun event was open to kids aged 8 years old and below but they should have registered at either 7 am or 8:30 am. Kumpisalang Bayan

The Holy Week penitential service and confessions, or Kumpisalang Bayan, was held over three full evenings, from April 10, Holy Monday, to April 12, Holy Wednesday. Following the 6 pm masses on Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday, there was a short Penitential Rite with Examination of Conscience. St. Ignatius Village Association Renovates Chapel

St. Ignatius Village recently renovated their Community Center cum Chapel, putting up glass sliding doors all around to make it fully enclosed and installing air conditioning. Last Palm Sunday, they celebrated their ?irst mass in the refurbished facility, under the ‘Palm Sunday ONE Community’ program. Holy Week & Easter Triduum Activities: from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday

It was a very busy Holy Week for Christ the King Parish. Holy Week began, of course, with Palm Sunday. The 7:30 am mass was celebrated by parish priest Fr. Bong Tupino , with the blessing of palms at the parking lot in front of the Divine Mercy Chapel, with palm wavers led by the 12 selected ‘apostles’. Basic Orientation Seminar for Altar Servers

The Basic Formation for New Altar Servers was held over four Saturdays - March 4, March 18, and March 25 - from 2 to 4:00 pm. Boys who had already received their First Holy Communion were qualiIied to join. All sessions were held at St. John Hall C. Louie Laudico, former PPC president and currently Vocation Ministry and Altar Server Ministry in-charge, led all four sessions. Bishop Raul Leads Laguna Pilgrimage for Lent

Last April 2, Christ the King Parish’s Bishop Raul Martirez led a Laguna Pilgrimage. The pilgrimage, with 44 passengers in one tour bus, was organized by Catholic Travel, Inc. A total of seven Laguna churches were visited in just one day.
