Fr. Ted Gonzales SJ, a returning speaker, spoke on ‘Life’s Directions’ at a forum organized by the Vocation Ministry last December 2, at 10:30 am at the Divine Mercy Chapel. His talk was targeted at single young professionals and graduating college students. 2018 is Year of the Clergy and Consecrated Persons

At the December 2 anticipated 6 pm mass, Fr. Bong Tupino III formally announced for the first time that 2018 will be the Year of the Clergy and Consecrated Persons. The new liturgical year kicked off last December 3, the first Sunday of Advent. Casa de Silencio Retirement Home Project Launched

Last October 17, at the 69th birthday birthday of the head of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cubao, Bishop Honesto F. Ongtioco DD, the Cubao clergy announced its most ambitious project infrastructure project yet, a retirement home for sick and retired priests cum retreat and conference center. Prior to this, the biggest project yet was the ‘Pabahay’ project for diocesan staff in Antipolo. CWL Donate Storage Boxes at Their Annual Prison Outreach to Camp Karingal

The Catholic Women’s League (CWL) - Christ the King Chapter paid their annual prison outreach visit to the Camp Karingal Ladies Detention Dormitory last November 7, 2017. As of that that, there were 1,200 recorded inmates. The advance team had met with the prison ofIicials prior to the ofIicial visit. The prison superintendent, Marie Rose Laguyo, had requested that in lieu of the traditional gift of t-shirts, the request was for large-capacity transparent storage boxes with handles where the detainees could put their valuables. Kingdom of Heaven Fair 2017 Draws Record Number of Children

It was a full house last Sunday October 22nd with over 180 kids showing up, as Christ the King Parish celebrated the Kingdom of Heaven Fair 2017, the Catholic foil to the vampires, witches, zombies, monsters, devils, slasher-horror villains, and vampire themes that pervade the ‘traditional’ Halloween celebration.
