The LOC ladies gave a send-off breakfast last January 15 for 19-year old Clifford Barizo, LOC’s very Qirst UP scholar (taking up B.S. Geography) under the LOC scholarship program. Clifford was recently tapped as an exchange student in Asturias, Spain, with the University of Oviedo, for six months, from January to July, 2018. Clifford is from Bagumbayan and had been a CTK scholar for the last six years - since second year high school. Ladies of Charity Start Their First 2018 Livelihood Project

The Ladies of Charity - Christ the King Parish unit - started their first livelihood project for 2018 - Pinoy Hilot Wellness and Massage - at Barangay San Roque last January 10.   The training, to be held every Wednesday and Friday, full day, would last until March. 15 participants started the program but organizers are hopeful they will end up with 25. GreenMeadows 1: On the Road to BEC

First GreenMeadows is earnestly trying to build their gated community into a true Basic Ecclesial Community, or BEC. Already on their third meeting, the third gettogether drew 18 participants. Village coordinators Eileen de Leon and Dulce Barreto invited Fr. Bong Tupino to expound further on what it means to be a BEC. Conducting the GM1 BEC session was resident Mila del Fonso, who talked on ‘Spiritual Warfare'. SIV’s Buklod ng Panginoon Activities

Buklod ng Panginoon, the renewal movement based in St. Ignatius Village, had a busy fourth quarter 2017. Last October 23, 2017, Buklod ng Panginoon held a Halloween celebration for Barangay Libis children beneQiciaries of Buklod’s feeding program. BNP president Cita Pabillo was supported in the activity by members Evelyn Sumbillo, Carol Marana, Tiny Perfecto, Rose Famanila, and Agnes dela Cruz. MBMG-CTK Shows Off Religious Gift Suggestions in Exchange for Donations

Betsy Tenchavez, current head of the Mother Butler Mission Guilds (MBMG), CTK Chapter, presented a wonderful array of potential gift suggestions at the January PPC meeting. MBMG carries a wide line of clergy and church related paraphernalia whi ch donor s and benefactors could ‘buy’. MBMG would then donate the said mass kit to a poor church or mission, usually in the rural areas. Simbang Umaga by AP for Karingal Female Detainees, December 19

Last December 19, 2017, the Apostleship of Prayer, CTK Chapter, sponsored a ‘Simbang Umaga’ at the Quezon City Female Dorm in Camp Karingal. Mass celebrators were Bishop Ness Ongtioco, head of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cubao, and Fr. Marvin Pajarllaga, Cubao Diocese Prison Ministry coordinator. Libis BEC Holds Belated Christmas Gathering, January 3

The Libis ‘Basic Ecclesial Communities’, or BEC, held their belated Christmas gathering last January 3 in the afternoon at the social area of the CTK Weekend Market. In response to their request for donations in cash, kind, party food, and prizes, the Libis BEC leaders received an overwhelming outpouring of support from different members of the PPC. Christmas Vigil Mass, December 24

The Christmas Vigil Mass last December 24th was celebrated with significant drama. The Christmas Eve masses were held at 6 pm, 8 pm, and 10 pm. Co-celebrated by Fr. Bong Tupino and Fr. Ronald Plomillo, offered by the CTK Parish Pastoral Council and sung to by the CTK Youth Choir, the 10 pm mass, the one that drew the biggest crowd, began with ‘lights out’ as a group of selected Libis and village children led the offertory, carrying lighted candles. Fr. Bong Tupino to Lead the Pilgrimage Tour to the Adriatic Coast with Medjugorje

Christ the King Parish is inviting its parishioners and regular mass goers to a Marian Pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina to visit the Mary Queen of Peace Shrine. Although Medjugorje and Mostar, the Bosnia- Herzegovina capital, are the primary destinations, the pilgrimage includes visits to other shrines of Our Lady in Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. The pilgrimage is from April 14 to 28, 2018 and the Pilgrimage Chaplain is CTK’s own Fr. Bong Tupino. Bible Enthronement Sunday at Christ the King Parish, January 28

January 28, 2018 was National Bible Sunday. Christ the King Greenmeadows Parish, like the other parishes in the Diocese of Cubao, assigned specific families to each of the weekend masses for the Enthronement of the Holy Bible, not only at the main church but in all the village masses - Corinthian Garden, White Plains, Corinthian Hills, Saint Ignatius and Acropolis - as well.
