Last April 28, Saturday, at the same time that the Family and Life Ministry was holding its parenting talk, the Greeters and Collectors Ministry, under the Worship Ministry headed by Leila Banico, held its full-day formation talk, facilitated by Charit Montalban of Contemplative Outreach Philippines. Also included in the audience were members of BEC Libis.

The formation session was broken up into four main topics, each lasting for one to one and a half hours. The Cirst two were done before lunch. Session 1 was entitled ‘Ano ang Tunay na Paglilingkod?’, or ’Spirituality of Service’. Session 2 was entitled, ‘Panalangin: Ugnayan ng Diyos at Tao’, or ‘Prayer as Relationship’.

After the provided lunch, Session 3 followed, on ‘Kalagayan ng Sangkatauhan at Kahalagahan ng Katahimikan ng Kalooban’, or ‘Human Condition’. The last session, Session 4, was entitled ‘Banal na Pagbasa’ or ‘Praying the Scriptures’. This was followed by the afternoon break and then the question and answer segment. The formation talk Cinished at 4 pm.

Contemplative Outreach Philippines is based in Don Bosco, Makati, which has a mission to teach centering prayers. Several of the formation talk organizers of Contemplative Outreach were also parishioners of Christ the King.
