‘Using Stewardship as Building Blocks for BEC’ was the topic of the Stewardship Talk by Joey Clemente of the Socio-Pastoral Institute last March 11 at the Parish Pastoral Council meeting, as part of the continuing orientation for CTK’s PPC on matters related to BECs and the theme of ‘Parish as Communion of Communities’. CTK Donates 14 Fishing Boats for Pawa, Capiz Fisherfolk

Last March 2, 2017, in a simple turnover program at the Parish Church of San Nicolas de Tolentino in barangay Pawa in Panay, Capiz, the Christ the King parish representatives - Henry Tañedo and Peter Banico of EMHC, and Ben and Linda Famador of the Stewardship Committee - with parish priest Fr. 32 Ladies of Charity Graduates Get Diplomas for Home Care Provider Livelihood Course

Last March 31 saw 32 livelihood scholars-graduates of Ladies of Charity- CTK Chapter (LOC) formally receive their diplomas in the Home Care Provider course. The 32 livelihood trainees came from two barangays of Project 4, namely, Tagumpay and Dioquino Zobel. Project 4 also includes the Escopa barangays, Blue Ridge, Bagumbuhay, Bayanihan, Marilag, Masagana, Milagrosa, and Maria Clara. Bishop Raul Martirez Leads Lenten Recollection for EMHCs

Last April 1, 2017, Bishop Raul Martirez facilitated a Lenten recollection for the Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion (EMHCs) and their spouses. Since this was primarily put together as part of the ongoing formation of the EMHCs, it was appropriate that the overall theme of the recollection was ‘deepening our love for the Eucharist through Scripture’. Nestor Torre’s ‘Kordero ng Diyos’ Staged at CTK Social Hall

More than 10 years ago, Nestor Torre, well-known critic, Inquirer columnist, and playwright-director, was moved by the theme of Jesus Christ sacrificing his life for the salvation of mankind. He saw that Jesus’ divine nature would understand and accept the need to sacrifice himself. But, what about his human nature? Would it be so readily, heroically accepting? Couple Benjie and Wins Mirasol formally took over the reins of the CTK Stewardship Committee as they presided over the February 4 monthly Stewardship Committee meeting, held at the convent conference room. Bishop Raul Celebrates 79th Birthday

Bishop Raul Q. Martirez, former Bishop-Emeritus of San Jose de Antique and now retired guest bishop a t Christ the King Parish Greenmeadows, celebrated his 79th birthday last February 9. In a joyous Eucharistic mass at 7 am at the Divine Mercy Chapel, Bishop Raul celebrated his thanksgiving mass, assisted by Fr. Bong Tupino, Msgr. Tony Mortillero, and Fr. Serge Maniba.
