Mondays’ Anointing of the Sick by Fr. Serge Maniba

Fr. Serge Maniba and Vocation ministry head and EMHC senior minister Louie Laudico, with EMHC ministers Robert Locsin and Louie Reyes, teamed up to visit three sick patients and give the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick last August 28, a Monday. Anointing of the Sick effectively removes and forgives the sick person of all his sins. It also strengthens the soul of the sick person against all sin and temptations aside from the healing action that it does for the person. Fr. Serge also heard confessions. Nine New Lectors-Commentators for 2018

The Lectors and Commentators Ministry (LeCom) had their own commissioning two weeks earlier, last August 13 during the 10:30 am mass and last August 16, during the 7 am mass. Seven new lectors-commentators were commissioned by Fr. Bong Tupino at the August 13 Sunday mass while the last two were commissioned by Fr. Serge Maniba at the August 16 Wednesday morning mass. CTK Commissions 16 New Extraordinary Ministers

Sixteen new Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion, or EMHC, were commissioned last Sunday, August 27 at the 5 pm mass officiated by none other than Fr. Bong Tupino, CTK parish priest. With the addition of the 16 new members, there are now 96 active EMHCs. Led by Albert Cuadrante, the EMHC had been looking for new candidates since June. Ministry Heads Drs. Fernando and Estrellita Lopez gave an overview of the about how the ministry came into being – an idea from CTK parish priest Fr. CTK’s 2nd Workshop on 7 Habits of Highly Successful Families Another Success

CTK successfully held a second conduct of ‘The 7 Habits of Successful Families’ Workshop, during the two Saturdays of July 22 and July 29. 12th Anniversary of Stewardship in CTK

September 3 was also the 12th anniversary of Stewardship in the parish. In celebration, Bishop Ness Ongtioco, Head of the Diocese of Cubao, officiated the 5 pm mass. Earlier in the day, at the Corinthian Gardens 10 am mass, Bishop Ongtioco also celebrated a Stewardship Mass. Coffee After Church Project Marches On

For the past month and a half in July and August, Coffee After Church, or CAC, the special project of the Parish Pastoral Council that had heretofore been singly coordinated and organized by PPC secretary couple David and Fely Ong, had been sponsored and coordinated by various parish groups, based on assignments agreed upon at the July Parish Pastoral Council meeting.
