1. Parish Renewal Experience (PREX)
PREX is a movement for evangelization within the parish in line with the call of Pope Paul VI for constant conversion and renewal. It deeply involves the family, turns the laity into continually evangelizing parishioners. Thus they transform their own lives and that of the parish. Key concepts are service to the parish, down-to-earth, spirituality, commitment to Christ and His Church.
2. Life in the Spirit Seminar (LSS)
a. Vision: As a parish-based prayer community, to live and share the Father’s love as disciples of Christ through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
b. Mission: To intercede for the needs and concerns of the parishioners, the parish and the Church; to develop and make available spiritual formation and growth programs.
c. Activities: Weekly prayer meetings, praise and worship, healing, discussions of new topics for growth and formation. Conducts a yearly Life in the Spirit Seminar.
3. Diwanihan Kristiyano Prayer Group
a. Feb. 21, 1986, the EDSA revolution broke out, a new prayer group was born. Its unique name came about after its first core members realized that the call to Christian life must be wholistic- a true Christian’s primary concern must the spiritual aspect. However, there is also a need to address the socio-economic, political and cultural concerns of fellow Christians. In other words- knowing, caring, sharing and doing all these the Pinoy way.
b. Diwanihan Kristiyano was therefore coined from the words:
DIWA- Pinoy spirit, soul or idea
BAYANIHAN- Pinoy way of sharing and helping one another in a community
KRISTIYANO- Christian in Pinoy
Diwanihan Kristiyano is considered by Christ the King Parish Greenmeadows as one of its active member organizations. The DKPG Music Service Group and a number of DKPG members actively serve in CTK’s mainstream parish masses as EMHC, Lectors and Commentators, and in other parish activities. Dkpg is also part of the CTK’s Parish Pastoral Council.
