Buklod ng Panginoon, one of the renewal movements in Christ the King Parish but localized to Barangay St. Ignatius, celebrated the 2016 Christmas season with several projects. One was the Share a Toy, Share a Joy program, to benefit the kids at Libis. Buklod leaders put up a large drop box for the toy donations at their parish center. The Libis kids were later picked up and treated to a Jollibee children’s party at St. Ignatius.

On December 24th, St. Ignatius, through coordination efforts of Buklod working with the village coordinators, mounted a successful dawn Misa de Gallo, with Fr. Ronald Plomillo as celebrant. This was followed by a 6 am salu-salo breakfast at the barangay center open terrace.

St. Ignatius barangay leaders were also very proud that a week before, last December 16, their barangay received two awards from the Quezon City government and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) at the Barangay Seal of Good Housekeeping awarding ceremony. The event was held at the UP Bahay ng Alumni. Barangay St. Ignatius received the awards for ‘Good Financial Housekeeping’ and for ‘Best Practices and Innovations’. Tiny Perfecto was part of the BSI team that received the awards.
