A Solemn Eucharistic Celebration at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral on Lantana St., Cubao, at 6 pm on October 20 marked Bishop Ongtioco’s 70th birthday. It was followed with a festive dinner-program at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral High School gym.

Then on the morning of December 8, Bishop Ness celebrated his 46th Presbyteral Anniversary with the mass on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Cubao Cathedral.

Parish Pastoral Councils and youth representatives from the 47 different parishes of the diocese were encouraged to come in designated vicariate colors – pink for the Vicariate of the Holy Family; purple for the Vicariate of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH); yellow for the Vicariate of St. Joseph; green for the Vicariate of Sto. Nino; red for the Vicariate of San Pedro Bautista; and blue for the Vicariate of Sta. Rita. Christ the King Parish Greenmeadows belongs to the OLPH vicariate. CTK’s Lay Coordinator Bert Santos was designated as OLPH vicariate coordinator.

Attending for CTK were Bert and Marie Anne Santos, the parish’s lay coordinator couple; David and Fely Ong, the parish’s secretary couple (with David also head of the Formation Ministry), Cen Hernando of Knights of Columbus, and Benjie and Wins (who attended the mass but skipped the salu-salo).
