The traditional CTK front garden Christmas tree was set and lit up on the first Saturday of Advent, December 1 in time for the 6 pm anticipated mass. At the same time, the altar was decorated tastefully with lighted lanterns, wreaths with Christmas point lights, and lace swags. The belen was also set up, with a pregnant Mary, Joseph and a donkey. Then at the start of the Christmas season on December 24 midnight masses, the belen tableau was changed to include baby Jesus, a no- longer-pregnant Mary, the same Joseph, the three kings, angels, and additional stable animals. The belen nativity tableau was maintained until the last Sunday of the Christmas season, January 13.
